4DX Ventures is a pan-African venture capital firm founded in 2017 by Walter Baddoo, a former Morgan Stanley banker, and Peter Orth, a former Bridgewater Associates investor. Headquartered in New York with on-the-ground offices in Accra, Cairo, and Nairobi, the firm combines global capital-market access with direct operational presence across Africa's most active technology ecosystems. 4DX invests at pre-seed through Series A stages in early-stage technology companies across Africa and the MENA region, with a focus on fintech, e-commerce, logistics, healthtech, edtech, and enterprise software. The firm targets founders with deep market knowledge, creative problem-solving, and the operational capability to build scalable businesses addressing foundational challenges across the continent. 4DX has backed more than 40 companies across its first three funds, with portfolio companies collectively raising over $1.2 billion in follow-on capital. Fund III is targeting an $80 million final close, anchored by a $10.5 million commitment from the International Finance Corporation, the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group.
