5AM Ventures is a Menlo Park-based life sciences venture capital firm founded in 2002 by Andrew Schwab and John Diekman. The firm specializes in seed and early-stage investments in biopharmaceuticals, drug delivery technologies, and life science instruments, and has spent more than two decades building a track record as a hands-on company builder in the life sciences industry. 5AM currently invests from two concurrent vehicles: Fund VII, a $450 million early-stage venture fund, and 5AM Opportunities II, a $300 million strategy investing in small and mid-cap public biotech and later-stage private companies.
