Acrew Capital is a San Francisco-based venture capital firm founded in 2019 by Theresia Gouw, Lauren Kolodny, Vishal Lugani, Asad Khaliq, and Mark Kraynak, all of whom previously worked together at Aspect Ventures and prior to that at Accel. The firm operates a structured collaborative partnership model, supported by a community of more than 600 operators and executives it calls the Crew of Leaders, who help develop investment theses and support portfolio companies. Acrew manages approximately $1.7 billion in assets under management, including a $700 million fund raised in October 2024, and has backed 142 companies with 16 unicorns among them. The firm invests across seed, early, and growth stages with initial checks from $1 million to $20 million, across three core thesis areas: data and security, fintech, and healthcare. In 2021, Acrew launched the Diversify Capital Fund, a vehicle designed to bring women and underrepresented limited partners into the cap tables of leading late-stage technology companies. Co-founder Theresia Gouw, a first-generation Indonesian immigrant, was named by Forbes in 2025 as the first self-made female billionaire in venture capital in America, and has been recognized nine times on the Forbes Midas List. Beyond its original investments in Attentive, Brex, Canva, and Marqeta, the firm's portfolio includes Chime, Gusto, Plaid, Vanta, Coinbase, At-Bay, Arthur AI, Klar, and Bilt, spanning fintech, cybersecurity, and enterprise software.
