BP Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of BP, the global energy company, focused on investing in technology companies that can accelerate the energy transition and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the power, transportation, industry, and built environment sectors. Freewire Technologies develops ultrafast EV charging systems using on-board battery storage. Lightship is a North American EV charging infrastructure company. Beyond its original investments in Freewire, FullCycle, Lightship, and StoreDot, the portfolio includes approximately 32 active companies spanning clean energy, EV, battery technology, and building efficiency sectors.
