Clocktower Technology Ventures, now known as Clocktower Ventures, is the venture capital arm of Clocktower Group, a Santa Monica-based global macro investment firm founded by Steve Drobny, investing exclusively in financial services technology and fintech companies from seed stage through growth across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Founded in 2015, the firm manages more than $350 million in committed capital and has invested in more than 250 portfolio companies. Clocktower's investment thesis is anchored in the belief that financial services represents the largest underserved opportunity in venture capital relative to the economic value at stake. Clocktower's parent company manages over $26 billion in assets, giving the firm unusual access to institutional financial market participants. Portfolio companies include Chime, the US neobank; Mercury, the banking platform for technology startups; Melio Payments, the accounts payable platform for small businesses; Habi, the Latin American real estate marketplace; Jeeves; and MoneyLion. Beyond its original investments in Bond, Dave, Jeeves, and Ramp, the confirmed portfolio includes over 250 fintech companies across US, Latin American, and European markets.
