Disruptech

Disruptech is a Cairo-based early-stage venture capital firm focused on seed and Series A investments in Egyptian and MENA-region technology startups across all sectors of the digital economy, with a particular emphasis on financial technology, e-commerce, and digital services addressing the specific needs of Egypt's large and rapidly growing internet population. The firm invests with initial checks from $100,000 to $500,000, making it one of the earliest institutional capital sources available to Egyptian founders before they access larger seed and Series A rounds from regional or international investors. Disruptech occupies a critical position in the Egyptian startup ecosystem as one of the few domestic institutional investors providing pre-seed and seed capital to founders at their most vulnerable and capital-constrained stage. Egypt has emerged as one of the largest and most dynamic startup ecosystems in Africa and the Middle East, with a young, digitally native population, a government that has actively prioritized fintech and digital economy development, and a growing cohort of experienced serial entrepreneurs returning from abroad to build companies in the Egyptian market. Portfolio companies include Khazna, the Egyptian fintech platform providing earned wage access and financial services to blue-collar workers; MoneyFellows, the digital rotating savings and credit association (ROSCA) platform that has digitized the traditional Egyptian gameyya savings group model; Hamilton, an investment technology platform; malBazaar, a marketplace company; and teradix, an additional technology portfolio company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional Egyptian and MENA technology startups.
