About

EQT Ventures

EQT Ventures is the early-stage venture capital platform of EQT AB, the publicly listed Swedish global investment group, founded in 2016 with the backing of EQT's substantial institutional resources, global network, and long-term investment philosophy applied to the early-stage technology company investing model. The firm has raised three successive funds totalling over EUR 2.3 billion: Fund I at EUR 566 million in 2016, Fund II at EUR 660 million in 2019, and Fund III at EUR 1.1 billion in 2022. The firm invests from seed through Series C stages with initial checks from EUR 1 million to EUR 75 million and maintains offices in Stockholm, London, Berlin, Paris, and San Francisco. A key differentiator is the Motherbrain AI platform, a proprietary machine learning system that monitors more than 10 million companies globally to help identify the most promising investment opportunities before they are widely known. Portfolio companies include Wolt, the Finnish food delivery platform acquired by DoorDash in 2022 at a reported 200x multiple for EQT Ventures; Einride, the Swedish electric and autonomous freight platform; Voi Technology, the Swedish micromobility and e-scooter company; and Varjo, the Finnish industrial XR headset company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes Handshake, Netlify, and hundreds of additional technology companies.
