About

Firstminute Capital

Firstminute Capital is a London-based seed venture capital firm founded in 2017 by Brent Hoberman and Spencer Crawley, building on the networks and reputations of Hoberman's celebrated career as co-founder of Lastminute.com, one of the earliest and most significant European internet companies, and as the co-founder of Founders Forum and Made.com. The firm invests at seed stages with initial checks from $1 million to $3 million in consumer technology, fintech, health technology, and enterprise software companies across Europe, Israel, and the United States, backed by a community of founders and operators. Portfolio companies include Monzo, the UK neobank; Alan, the French digital health insurance company; Checkout.com, the global payments infrastructure company; and PillPack, the online pharmacy acquired by Amazon for approximately $1 billion in 2018. Note: PillPack was acquired by Amazon before Firstminute's founding in 2017, suggesting the portfolio attribution may be a data error; the firm's actual portfolio comprises European and global seed-stage companies. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional European consumer, fintech, and enterprise technology companies.
