About

Five Elms Capital

Five Elms Capital is a Kansas City, Missouri-based growth equity venture capital firm focused on Series A and Series B investments in profitable or near-profitable B2B SaaS businesses, backing software companies that serve vertical markets in healthcare, government, real estate, workforce management, and other sectors where modern software is replacing legacy systems. The firm was founded with a thesis that the Midwest and other regions outside Silicon Valley contain substantial concentrations of B2B software companies that are growing efficiently and generating cash flow but are under-served by coastal growth equity capital. Five Elms invests with initial checks from $3 million to $15 million and distinguishes itself by backing profitable companies that have not raised substantial venture capital previously. Portfolio companies include Rave Mobile Safety, the public safety and emergency notification platform; RealPage, the property management software platform; Sievert, an enterprise software company; and WorkForce Software, the enterprise workforce management platform. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional Midwest-based and US B2B SaaS companies.
