Flourish Ventures is a San Francisco-based impact-focused fintech venture capital firm that invests in seed through Series B stages in companies building financial services and technology that expand economic opportunity for people excluded from or underserved by the traditional financial system. The firm was established as an independent entity spun out from Omidyar Network and manages more than $300 million in assets, investing globally across North America, Latin America, Africa, India, and Southeast Asia with initial checks from $1 million to $10 million. The firm's investment thesis is grounded in the belief that technology-enabled financial services can dramatically expand access to affordable credit, insurance, savings, and payments for lower-income consumers and small businesses. Portfolio companies include Aye Finance, the Indian MSME lender; Destacame, the Latin American open banking and credit intelligence platform; Konfio, the Mexican SME lending and financial services platform; and Tala, the mobile lending company operating across Kenya, India, Mexico, and the Philippines. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional fintech companies across global financial inclusion.
