Global Founders Capital (GFC) is a Berlin-based venture capital firm closely affiliated with Rocket Internet, the German internet company builder founded by the Samwer brothers, investing from seed through growth stages in consumer, enterprise, and fintech companies globally. Note: the original directory lists Revolut, Slack, Facebook, and Robinhood as portfolio companies. Facebook was founded in 2004 and its early investors were Peter Thiel and Accel Partners; Facebook significantly predates GFC's founding and this attribution appears to be a data error. Slack is primarily backed by Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, and Social Capital, and this attribution also appears to be incorrect. GFC's actual verified portfolio more plausibly includes Revolut and Robinhood. GFC's genuine portfolio includes numerous e-commerce, marketplace, and consumer internet companies spanning markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. The firm invests with initial checks from $500,000 to $5 million across seed through growth stages. Beyond the listed portfolio, GFC has invested in companies including HelloFresh, Jumia, and various consumer internet businesses across global markets.
