About

Heartcore Capital (Denmark)

Heavybit is a San Francisco-based seed venture capital firm and accelerator programme focused exclusively on developer tools, developer infrastructure, and enterprise software companies, investing in and supporting companies that are building the APIs, platforms, frameworks, and services that software engineers and technology teams use to build, deploy, and operate software products. The firm was founded in 2013 by James Lindenbaum, the co-founder of Heroku, the platform-as-a-service company acquired by Salesforce for $212 million, and operates a distinctive in-person programme model in which portfolio companies join the Heavybit community, share office space, and participate in expert-led educational programming on developer go-to-market strategy, technical recruiting, and enterprise sales. Heavybit invests with initial checks from $500,000 to $3 million at seed and Series A stages and focuses on companies where developer adoption, bottom-up product-led growth, and community-building drive initial traction before scaling into enterprise contracts. Note: the original directory lists CircleCI, Cloudflare, Fastly, and PagerDuty as portfolio companies. CircleCI is a confirmed Heavybit portfolio company. Cloudflare's primary backers include Pelion Venture Partners and Venrock; Fastly's primary backers include Amplify Partners and August Capital; PagerDuty's primary backers include Accel and Andreessen Horowitz. The original portfolio attributions for Cloudflare, Fastly, and PagerDuty should be independently verified. Confirmed Heavybit portfolio companies include LaunchDarkly, Cribl, Codecov, Temporal, and CircleCI.
