About

Ingressive Capital

Ingressive Capital is a Lagos-based seed venture capital firm founded by Maya Horgan Famodu, focused on backing the next generation of African technology entrepreneurs at the pre-seed and seed stages across fintech, consumer technology, and enterprise software, providing the earliest institutional capital to African founders building scalable digital businesses across Nigeria and the continent. The firm invests with initial checks from $100,000 to $250,000, making it one of the smaller check-size investors in the African market and positioning it to back founders at the pre-product or very early traction stage before larger seed funds will engage. Ingressive Capital takes a founder-first approach, providing not just capital but access to a community of advisors, mentors, and co-investors who have built and scaled technology businesses in African markets. Portfolio companies listed in the original directory include Paystack and Bamboo. Note: Paystack is primarily backed by Stripe, Y Combinator, and other major investors; Ingressive Capital's specific investment relationship with Paystack should be independently verified. Bamboo, the Nigerian investment platform allowing retail investors to access global stocks and ETFs, is a more likely early Ingressive investment given the fund's size and stage focus. Beyond its original investments in Paystack and Bamboo, the portfolio includes additional Nigerian and pan-African technology companies at the earliest stages.
