Inovia Capital is a Montreal-based venture capital firm founded by Chris Arsenault and subsequently strengthened by the addition of Patrick Pichette, the former CFO of Google, focused on Series A, Series B, and growth equity investments in Canadian and international technology companies across artificial intelligence, enterprise software, fintech, and consumer technology, with a particular emphasis on backing companies that have strong founder teams and early signs of product-market fit and supporting them with capital, commercial introductions, and operational expertise as they scale. The firm manages several hundred million dollars in assets under management and invests with initial checks from $2 million to $15 million, taking active board roles and maintaining close relationships with portfolio founders throughout the company lifecycle. Inovia has a particular strength in the Canadian technology ecosystem and in supporting Canadian-founded companies as they expand into the United States and international markets. Portfolio companies include Hootsuite, the social media management platform that has grown to serve millions of businesses globally and is one of Canada's most recognised enterprise software brands; Tulip, the retail operations and in-store technology platform for enterprise retailers; Vidyard, the video hosting and analytics platform for enterprise sales and marketing teams; and TouchBistro, the restaurant management and point-of-sale platform. Beyond its original investments in Hootsuite, Tulip, Vidyard, and TouchBistro, the portfolio includes additional Canadian and global technology companies.
