About

Insight Partners

Insight Partners is a New York-based growth equity and venture capital firm founded in 1995, one of the largest and most consistently high-performing software-focused investors in the world, managing more than $90 billion in assets under management and having invested in more than 750 companies across its fund history through its sustained focus on software, SaaS, and internet-enabled businesses from Series A through growth stages. The firm was founded by Jerry Murdock and Jeff Horing with the conviction that software businesses have structurally superior economics, and that a specialist software investor who understands how software companies grow, scale, and win markets can consistently identify and support category-defining companies more effectively than generalist investors. Insight invests with initial checks from $20 million to $100 million and provides portfolio companies with access to its ScaleUp community and operational resources including the Insight Onsite strategy team, which provides hands-on expertise in go-to-market strategy, talent acquisition, and operational improvement. Portfolio companies include Twitter, the social network; Shopify, the e-commerce platform; DocuSign, the e-signature and agreement cloud platform; Monday.com, the work operating system; Wiz, the cloud security company acquired by Google; and Armis, the cyber exposure management company. Beyond its original investments in Twitter, Shopify, DocuSign, and Monday.com, the portfolio includes Datadog, N-able, SolarWinds, and hundreds of additional enterprise software and SaaS companies across multiple fund vintages.
