Kalon Venture Partners is a Cape Town-based early-stage venture capital firm focused on seed and Series A investments in South African and pan-African technology companies across fintech, agtech, and consumer technology. The firm invests with initial checks from $100,000 to $500,000, taking an active role in supporting portfolio companies through the critical early stages of company building. Kalon focuses on companies where technology is genuinely addressing structural gaps in financial access, agricultural productivity, or consumer services, and where the founding team has genuine domain expertise in their target market. Portfolio companies include Ozow, the South African instant EFT and payment solution enabling direct bank payments for online commerce; and SnapnSave, the South African digital rewards and cashback platform. Beyond its original investments in Ozow and SnapnSave, the portfolio includes additional South African and pan-African technology companies.
