The firm invests with initial checks from $500,000 to $3 million at seed and Series A stages. Buzzfeed, the digital media company, was a portfolio company. Warby Parker, the DTC eyewear company, was backed by Lerer Hippeau before completing a NYSE IPO in 2021. Casper, the direct-to-consumer mattress company, was a portfolio company. Glossier, the beauty brand, was backed by Lerer Hippeau. Beyond its original investments in Buzzfeed, Warby Parker, Casper, and Glossier, the portfolio includes Axios, Allbirds, Ro, and additional consumer technology, media, and health companies.
