Lockheed Martin Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Lockheed Martin, the global aerospace, defense, and security company, established to invest in early and growth-stage technology companies developing capabilities relevant to Lockheed Martin's strategic priorities in space, aviation, hypersonics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems. The firm invests at Series A and Series B stages with initial checks from $2 million to $15 million in companies where Lockheed Martin's engineering expertise, government relationships, and aerospace and defense customer network can provide strategic value. Portfolio companies include HawkEye 360, the commercial satellite RF analytics company; Joby Aviation, the electric air taxi company; Rebellion Defense, the AI and machine learning software platform for national security; and Shield AI, the AI piloting software company for military aircraft. Beyond its original investments in HawkEye 360, Joby, Rebellion Defense, and Shield AI, the portfolio includes additional aerospace, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems companies.
