Lowercarbon Capital is a San Francisco-based seed and Series A venture capital firm founded by Chris Sacca and Crystal Sacca, focused exclusively on climate technology investments in companies that are actively pulling carbon out of the atmosphere or making it dramatically easier to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at global scale. The firm manages more than $1 billion in committed capital, investing with initial checks from $1 million to $10 million in companies developing direct air capture, industrial decarbonization, sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, and other breakthrough climate technologies. Portfolio companies include Charm Industrial, the bio-oil sequestration company; Heirloom Carbon, the direct air capture company using limestone mineralization; Sustaera, the direct air capture company; and CarbonCapture, the modular direct air capture company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio spans more than 50 climate technology companies.
