About

Mangrove Capital (Luxembourg)

Mangrove Capital Partners is a Luxembourg-based seed and early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2000 by Mark Tluszcz, Hans-Juergen Schmitz, and Michael Jackson (the telecom entrepreneur), that built one of the most remarkable early-stage track records in European venture capital. Skype, the internet telephony platform acquired by Microsoft for $8.5 billion in 2011, was backed by Mangrove at seed stage. Wix, the Israeli website creation platform, completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2011. Roblox completed a NYSE direct listing in 2021. TransferWise, now known as Wise, was backed by Mangrove. Beyond its original investments in Skype, Wix, Roblox, and TransferWise, the portfolio includes additional European and global consumer and enterprise technology companies. Mangrove's track record of backing three companies that each returned more than 100x within a single fund is extraordinarily rare.
