MCJ Collective is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based pre-seed and seed venture capital firm and community focused on climate technology, investing in founders developing breakthrough solutions to the climate crisis. The firm emerged from My Climate Journey, a climate-focused podcast and community founded by Jason Jacobs, which built a large audience of climate entrepreneurs and investors and eventually formalized its investment activities into MCJ Collective. MCJ invests with initial checks from $500,000 to $3 million at pre-seed and seed stages and operates with a community model in which LPs, portfolio founders, and climate professionals actively support each other's work. Portfolio companies include Charm Industrial, the bio-oil sequestration company; Pachama, the forest carbon monitoring and marketplace platform; Rubicon Carbon, the carbon market infrastructure company; and Wren, the consumer carbon offset subscription platform. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional pre-seed and seed climate technology companies.
