New Enterprise Associates (NEA)

New Enterprise Associates, known as NEA, is a Menlo Park-based global venture capital firm founded in 1977, one of the longest-running and highest-deploying venture capital firms in the world with more than $25 billion in assets under management and a portfolio spanning more than 1,500 companies across technology, healthcare, energy, and consumer sectors. The firm invests from seed through growth stages with initial checks from $5 million to $50 million. Databricks, the data and AI company, was backed by NEA at early stages. MongoDB completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2017. Robinhood completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2021. Beyond its original investments in Databricks, MongoDB, and Robinhood, the NEA portfolio includes Salesforce, Coupang, Webex, and hundreds of additional enterprise, consumer, and life science companies.
