NextView Ventures is a Boston-based seed venture capital firm focused exclusively on seed-stage investments in consumer internet, marketplaces, and consumer technology companies. The firm was founded by Rob Go, Lee Hower, and David Beisel and invests with initial checks from $500,000 to $2 million, leading or co-leading seed rounds across commerce, fintech, media, and digital health. Attentive, the SMS marketing platform, was backed by NextView at an early stage before growing to a valuation of approximately $10 billion. Boardable, the board management software for nonprofits, is a portfolio company. Dover, the recruiting software platform, is a portfolio company. ThredUp completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2021. Beyond its original investments in Attentive, Boardable, Dover, and ThredUp, the portfolio includes additional consumer internet and technology companies.
