NightDragon is a San Francisco-based growth equity venture capital firm focused exclusively on cybersecurity technology, investing at Series A, Series B, and growth stages in companies building enterprise security, privacy, and safety products. The firm was founded by Dave DeWalt, the former CEO of McAfee and FireEye, who brings extraordinary operational depth and a network of relationships across Fortune 500 CISOs and intelligence community leaders. NightDragon invests with initial checks from $5 million to $25 million and provides portfolio companies with access to DeWalt's NightDragon Advisory Council. Portfolio companies include Authentic8, the cloud-native browser isolation platform; DomainTools, the domain intelligence and threat hunting platform; Exabeam, the AI-powered SIEM and threat detection platform; and ThreatLocker, the zero-trust endpoint security platform. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional enterprise cybersecurity companies.
