Northzone is a London-based venture capital firm founded in 1996, one of Europe's longest-running and most consistently successful early-stage venture capital firms, managing approximately €1.5 billion in assets and investing from seed through Series B stages with initial checks from $2 million to $15 million in fintech, enterprise software, consumer, and climate technology companies. Spotify was backed by Northzone from its earliest venture rounds and generated exceptional returns at its NYSE direct listing in 2018. Klarna was a Northzone-backed company. iZettle was backed by Northzone before its $2.2 billion acquisition by PayPal. Trustpilot completed a London Stock Exchange IPO in 2021. Beyond its original investments in Spotify, Klarna, iZettle, and Trustpilot, the portfolio includes Bambuser, Kahoot!, Celonis, and additional European technology companies.
