PowerPlant Partners is a Los Angeles-based Series A and Series B venture capital firm focused exclusively on plant-based foods, alternative proteins, and the broader plant-based consumer economy. The firm was co-founded by Daniel Lubetzky, the founder of Kind Snacks, and brings deep operational experience in building consumer food brands. PowerPlant invests with initial checks from $2 million to $10 million and brings strong relationships with major food retailers, distributors, and food service companies. Portfolio companies include Beyond Meat, the plant-based protein company that completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2019; Daily Harvest, the frozen organic plant-based food delivery service; Kite Hill, the almond milk-based dairy alternative brand; and Miyoko's Creamery, the vegan butter and cheese company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional plant-based food and alternative protein companies.
