Project A (Germany)

Project A is a Berlin-based seed and Series A through Series B venture capital firm that operates an unusual hybrid model combining investment capital with a large team of more than 100 operational experts in engineering, product, marketing, data analytics, and business intelligence who work directly alongside portfolio companies. The firm was founded by Florian Heinemann and invests with initial checks from $1 million to $10 million. Project A's operational expertise model is its defining differentiation: portfolio companies receive not just capital but access to specialized functional teams. Portfolio companies include Trade Republic, the German commission-free trading platform; WorldRemit, the international money transfer service; Spryker, the modular e-commerce platform; and Voi Technology, the Swedish e-scooter company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional European e-commerce, fintech, and enterprise technology companies.
