Rain Capital is an Oakland-based seed and Series A venture capital firm focused exclusively on cybersecurity technology, investing in early-stage security companies building the next generation of enterprise and cloud security platforms. The firm invests with initial checks from $1 million to $5 million. Portfolio companies include Bionic, the application security intelligence platform acquired by CrowdStrike; Halcyon, the anti-ransomware and cyber resilience platform; Noname Security, the API security platform acquired by Akamai in 2024; and Spyderbat, the cloud security and threat detection platform. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional enterprise cybersecurity companies.
