SV Angel is a San Francisco-based seed and pre-seed venture capital fund founded by Ron Conway, one of Silicon Valley's most celebrated and prolific angel investors who has backed more transformative technology companies at their earliest stages than almost any other single investor in history. The fund invests with initial checks from $100,000 to $500,000 at the very earliest stages. Airbnb was backed by SV Angel at an extremely early stage. Pinterest, the visual discovery and social bookmarking platform, was a portfolio company. Dropbox was backed by SV Angel. Twitter was a portfolio company. Stripe was backed by SV Angel. Beyond its original investments in Airbnb, Pinterest, Dropbox, Twitter, and Stripe, the portfolio includes Google (via early Conway angel investing), Facebook, and hundreds of additional consumer and enterprise technology companies.
