TDK Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of TDK Corporation, the Japanese electronic components and energy solutions company, investing in early-stage and growth-stage technology companies developing innovations in energy storage, power management, sensing, smart factories, and sustainable technology. The firm invests at Series A and Series B stages with initial checks from $500,000 to $5 million. Portfolio companies include Amelie Power, a power technology company; Moxian, a smart signage and digital marketing technology company; Niu Technologies, the Chinese smart electric motorcycle company; and Sakuu, the 3D printing and solid-state battery company. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional energy, sensing, and materials technology companies.
