Team8 is a Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity company builder and venture capital firm founded in 2014 by Nadav Zafrir, the former commander of Israeli Military Intelligence's elite Unit 8200, alongside Liran Grinberg and Israel Grimberg, operating a distinctive model that creates cybersecurity companies from within Team8 itself rather than simply investing in existing founder-led startups. The firm provides capital, operational infrastructure, and commercial relationships to create companies with a higher baseline of capability. Portfolio companies include Claroty, the industrial and operational technology cybersecurity platform; Hysolate, the endpoint isolation and zero-trust workspace company; Sygnia, the cybersecurity incident response and consulting company; and Veriti, the security posture management platform. Beyond its original investments, the portfolio includes additional cybersecurity companies created through the Team8 company building process.
