Verlinvest is a Brussels-based private equity and growth equity investment firm backed by the founding families of AB InBev — the de Spoelberch, de Mevius, and Van Damme families — providing Series B and growth equity capital to mission-driven consumer brands and consumer technology companies. The firm invests with initial checks from $10 million to $75 million and has been particularly active in plant-based foods, sustainable beverages, and health and wellness. Oatly, the Swedish oat milk company, was backed by Verlinvest before completing a Nasdaq IPO in 2021. Vita Coco, the coconut water and hydration brand, completed a Nasdaq IPO in 2021. Beyond its original investments in Oatly and Vita Coco, the portfolio includes Cowboy, Fever, and additional mission-driven consumer and consumer technology companies.
